The Journal of Nutrition and Dietetics (JND) is seeking qualified peer reviewers!

Are you a nutrition and dietetics professional passionate about research and academic excellence? The Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI) invites scholars and experts in nutrition, dietetics, and related fields to join the JND Editorial Review Team as peer reviewers.

The Journal of Nutrition and Dietetics (JND) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality research in clinical nutrition, food science, public health nutrition, and multidisciplinary studies. The journal upholds rigorous scientific standards and is committed to advancing nutrition and dietetics research at both national and international levels.

Original Research Articles
Short Communications
Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses
Case Reports/Case Series

Areas of Focus:
 Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics

Who Can Apply?

We are looking for both Junior and Senior Reviewers to contribute their expertise.

Junior Reviewer Qualifications:

✔ Must be registered and licensed with KNDI or an equivalent professional body.
✔ Must hold a PhD and have graduated within the last 3 years.
✔ Must have at least 3 publications in Nutrition and Dietetics.
✔ Must complete peer review training provided by the JND Editorial Board.

 Senior Reviewer Qualifications:

✔ Must be registered and licensed with KNDI or an equivalent professional body.
✔ Must hold a PhD and have at least 5 years of post-doctoral experience.
✔ Must have at least 10 publications in Nutrition and Dietetics.
✔ Must complete peer review training by the JND Editorial Team.


Reviewer Responsibilities

As a peer reviewer, you will:
Assess the scientific quality of submitted manuscripts.
Provide detailed and constructive feedback to authors.
Ensure high ethical standards, avoiding personal or financial biases.
Maintain confidentiality throughout the review process.
Complete reviews within 14 days of receiving a manuscript.
