REGISTRATION DEPARTMENT

This department is headed by the Registrar under the office of the CEO who operationalizes the functions of Accreditation committee under Section 13 (m)-(q) of the Nutritionists and Dieticians Act, No. 18 of 2007 (Amendment) in Health Laws (Amendment) Act 2019. The office shall also prepare charge sheets on offenses under section 34 related to registration of professionals and training institutions in collaboration with the police department.
Annual key result areas include the following:
  • Register and license persons qualified to be registered under this Act;
  • Prepare a list of professionals to be deregistered by the Institute in accordance with this Act;
  • Keep a register of all registered members;
  • Keep a register of all licensed and retained professionals; and
  • Carry out the indexing of students enrolled in various institutions and monitor their progression.
